Two years ago, my big brother Glenn was going in for back surgery. Little did we know that our world was about to be turned upside down. We left the hospital a week later with a leukemia diagnosis. Since then, he’s battled leukemia, kidney cancer, gall bladder issues, sepsis, a colostomy, afib, congestive heart failure, and God knows what else. He has been in the hospital with an infection, a newly discovered large mass on his kidney that was biopsied. We should know the results Monday, fluid on his lungs, and a possible clot in his renal vein. Please lift him (and us) up in prayers, as we pray for a miracle. We pray for the new mass to not be cancer again. He is at home right now and will have to go to Little Rock and Heber a lot. Dianne will be unable to work so she can stay with Glenn. We would like to ask people that can donate money to help them get through this trying time. Any amount would help. If unable to send money, please, please pray for my brother Glenn.
This is the new page from his daughter Diandra. Not the update I wanted to make. We have not received the biopsy results back, but it doesn’t really matter because the doctors are basically just wanting to confirm what they already know. He has a massive tumor. This tumor started from the kidney that the previous cancer was in and it has snaked its way up to his heart and major veins/arteries to his heart. After talking with the cardiovascular surgeon, surgery is NOT an option to remove it. He said it was a very complicated case. They have gone ahead and put a port in him to begin treatment in the next few weeks. This type of cancer does not respond to chemotherapy, so he will be receiving immunotherapy in Little Rock, while also taking a chemo pill for his leukemia. The oncologist said that immunotherapy has come a long way and to remain positive. We will rescan in 4-6 months to see if we have managed to shrink the tumor or at least halt its growth. So we are going to remain positive and continue to pray for not only my dad but his amazing team of doctors treating him. Thank you all for your love and support, all the messages and calls. I know we haven’t been able to respond to all of them, but we feel the love and support from everyone, and we truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
Please, if you can ease the financial burden for this family, it would help greatly. But prayers if you can’t, that Jesus will wrap his comforting arms around them.
Leah
