Hi there! My name is Deanna and I am a skater at Sprinker Recreation Center.. I'll cut straight to the point:

if you know Glenn Patterson, then you know I'm probably going to catch hell for posting this. But if you know Glenn, then you also know why I have to do it.

Glenn is currently in the middle of an ongoing medical crisis. While he is expected to make a full recovery, the road ahead is uncertain, and the financial toll of medical bills and lost income is already mounting. We are rallying together to ease that burden so he can focus on healing and not worrying about how he’s going to pay rent or cover medical costs.

For those in the figure skating community, Glenn needs no introduction. A World Champion in 1974, 1975, and 1977, Glenn has dedicated his entire life to this sport; not just as a competitor, but as a mentor, a teacher, and a fierce advocate for the timeless artistry of figures and ice dance.

He is not just a coach. He is the coach. Demanding the best from his athletes, instilling a deep respect for tradition, and never giving less than 100% of himself to every skater who has had the privilege to step on the ice under his guidance.

His love for skating runs deep, and he has never chased accolades or recognition, only the betterment of his students and the preservation of this sport's heart and soul. Whether you've trained with him directly, shared a rink, or simply admired his legacy from afar, you know how rare and remarkable he is.

Now it's our turn to give back.
