Glenn and Karen came into my life 11 years ago. I had had been lucky enough to be a part of the vape industry a couple years prior.... before vape shops were a thing. Our family went on Vacation and I decided to look for a vape shop to see if any were around at the exit we got off on to grab food. My search came up with Vintage Vapors in Knoxville, TN. We decided to stop by to see the store. Glenn immediately introduced himself to us and we both knew right away we would become fast friends because he commented on my Ohio State pullover. Karen walked us through the tasting bar which was one of the first ones I had seen. It was such a beautiful, handcrafted wood bar. Karen took her time and explained everything about the liquids while Glenn and I talked about Ohio State. After that visit, Glenn and I talked regularly and they made a couple trips to Ohio to support the industry in Ohio. As I got more involved in advocacy, Glenn and Karen were a huge influence on me and helped not even when asked. Our friendship continued and we visited each other regularly as well as stood toe to toe in Ohio, Tennessee and Washington D.C. They even reached out to me when they were opening Marble City to ask questions and my opinion on some of the things they had in mind. We came down to Knoxville and totally surprised them on the Opening day thanks for some friends in the industry that kept the secret. Glenn and Karen are family to our family. When my Mom first got sick with Leukemia, they reached out asking how to help and when Karen was diagnosed, Glenn messaged me letting me know before it became public. Now it's time for us as family to get together and help them. Karen has Breast Cancer and is also dealing with Congestive Heart Failure both treatable but they need our help. She will be unable to work and the medical bills as well as day to day expenses will be piling up with just Glenn working. Please continue to send your love and prayers to Karen. In addition, anything you can donate to this amazing family to help take some of the pressure off of them as they start this battle...it would be greatly appreciated. They have always been there for us inside the industry and out.
