Glen Hansard Tribute Concert Fundraising

I am Tobi and Glen Hansard had a huge Impact on my life, both to me as a musician and as a human being. His untimely and unexpected passing has devastated me as it did to thousands, probably millions of people around the world.
To remember Glen and celebrate his music and life, I started with the organisation of a Glen Hansard Tribute Concert in Cologne (Germany) on November 27th.
As i am no company, organisation or have any funds, yet, to be able to savely cover the costs of the concert, I created this fundraiser.
All donations from this fundraising will be used to cover costs for
- the location (probably have to rent it for a whole day or even more, because soundcheck with many different musicians in various constellations needs a lot of time)
- travel costs for musicians
- food/beverages for musicians and team
- rehearsal spaces that need to be rented for the musicians, who come from all over the place and need time and space to rehearse as it's not possible in the weeks leading up to the concert)
- the liability insurance for the event
The money that's left after these costs are covered through this fundraiser and the revenue from ticket sales, will go to non-profit organisations that support homeless people and refugees in Cologne.
I just started the organisation of the event, so I still have to research for non-profit organisations that will be supported.
The work I do to make this concert happen is fully non-profit, voluntarily and the concert itself with many amazing artists is a much bigger gift than any money could ever be.
I want to be as transparent as possible and will provide a detailed cost calculation at a later point as I still have to research all the costs. I created this fundraiser already with an estimated goal of 6.000€ to see, dependent on the final sum of donations, how much funds/money I have available for the location and the other costs.

I'm thankful for every single donation, no matter how big or small, to make a very special concert happen.
