Hurling - Football - Camogie - Ladies Football
This campaign allows friends, supporters and members of Glen Rovers & St. Nicks support this collective goal of improving our facilities to meet the needs of our growing membership base.
This fundraising campaign is running in the lead up to GlenFest 2019, which will be held in Glen Rovers on September 1st 2019.
All proceeds raised will go directly to our newly launched Development Fund.

We put all the money raised back into the club so that we can all benefit from GlenFest. Here are some of the projects we were able to do with the money raised in 2018:
Better security – we’ve upgraded the lighting and security systems to protect our members, patrons and the general public. We want Glen Rovers to be a place where everyone can come and feel safe.
Better appearance– it was time for a scrub up and we were able to paint the outside of the “old house” and complete badly needed remedial works within this protected structure, which is a unique landmark in the community.
Better Performance - we have partnered with elite fitness and invested in redevelopment of the gym which benefits team performance, and is freely available to members. Through elite fitness, we have opened this facility to the wider community.
In the coming months we will be replacing hazardous perimeter fencing and netting, as well as putting a 4G surface in the hurling alley.
These are all incremental improvements which are ongoing in parallel to our plans for launching Project 2020.
Project 2020
Following GlenFest 2018 we launched our development fund in anticipation of Project 2020, an ambitious plan to upgrade our facilities.
After encountering various technical and planning challenges over the past 12 months, our ambitions remain steadfast: Glen Rovers require a state of the art 4G pitch with floodlighting, and all ancillary services.
Following an open night earlier in the year, we have invested in completing a topographical survey of our site, engaged a consulting engineer and have had lengthy discussions with cork city council.
Hopefully GlenFest 2019 can be another huge success and we can get more incremental improvement projects off the ground and continue our plans for Project 2020.
