After an eventful 2022, Glendi's strength and faith are being tested once again before the year's end. After experiencing an aggravating headache and what was believed to be severe jaw pain over a couple of days, we decided that the best plan of action was to take a visit to the Emergency Room. After multiple tests and examinations, it was determined that Glendi suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. She developed a blood clot in her brain, ultimately causing a brain bleed and swelling. The neurosurgeon performed a partial craniotomy last evening to allow space for the swelling. The bleed affected the part of the brain that processes speech. We were told this is likely permanent. Our family believes in the power of prayer and that God performs miracles every day. We are claiming one of those miracles for Glendi. A few words that are often used to describe her are selfless, empathetic, intellectual, loving, and strong. She has always been the silent "rock" of the family and held everything together with no expectations of anything in return. It is now our turn to step up and support her the way she has always supported all of us. The funds donated will be used to help with medical bills and overall expenses while she navigates this new and difficult journey.
