Glenda Pye Cancer Diagnosis
Donation protected
August 6th UPDATE:
It is with the utmost sadness I must write that Glenda is no longer with us. The family is so appreciative of everyone’s support during this difficult and unexpected time this past month. Donations have all been greatly appreciated and have helped the family stay with Glenda during her last days. I welcome your donations now to help the family with any costs associated with a future memorial for Glenda and to help Evan take much needed time away from work.
August 3rd UPDATE:
Glenda has been transferred to Chetwynd hospital for palliative care, where she is closer to family and friends. There is no further medical treatment that can improve her health. Please reach out to the family if you wish to provide support or visit Glenda. Thank you everyone for your generosity, the family is grateful for all the support and kindness they have been receiving.
________________________________
At the end of June Glenda was treated at the Dawson Creek hospital in severe pain to the point where she could no longer walk, it was believed to be an infection and bursitis. When Glenda did not improve she was admitted to the Fort St John hospital and the Pye and Poulin family received heart breaking news to learn the source of Glenda’s severe pain is bone cancer. Glenda is currently hospitalized receiving full time care to manage her pain and her loving family is by her side. This is a very unexpected and serious diagnosis which has halted the entire family’s lives. Geoffery, Nina and Evan are at the Fort St. John hospital helping care for Glenda everyday. Kimberly has been driving from Chetwynd to Fort St. John to be with the family and care for the family’s acreage.
Glenda is a part of the Seventh Day Adventist church where she helped her daughter and son in law organize the Pathfinders program while also heading the Adventurers program. Anyone who knows Glenda knows she would help any person or animal who needed it despite any burden to her own life.
I am asking for donations to help Evan and family with the costs of their stay in Fort St. John including hotel, food, and gas as they have all taken time away from work to spend time with Glenda. Glenda will be in the hospital for an unforeseeable time where she will need full time care.
E-transfers will also be accepted please contact Geoffery or myself Tamara Martin
