GLENDA BATES AND FAMILY NEED OUR HELP

On behalf of my sister Cruz and her wife Glenda, they would like to thank you in advance for your love and generosity during this difficult time.

On August 9th, Glenda left work with unrelenting stomach pain that sent her to the hospital. She was admitted and underwent emergency surgery. Since then, she has had many setbacks including sepsis that has kept her in the hospital now for over a month. It was touch and go but Glenda is a fighter and has now been told she may discharge in the next few days. Glenda will require 24/7 care. Needless to say, Glenda will not be able to work for quite a while. Her wife Cruz will be taking some time off work to assist with Glenda's care. They have been waiting patiently for FMLA. but were told that it may take up to 5 weeks to have it approved because they are behind but as we all know, utilities and house payments won't wait! FMLA will give a percentage of their monthly wages so even with that, things will be tight. Being the amazing person that Glenda is, she is more concerned about making ends meet than focusing on her own needs. My hope is that together we can take some of the weight off their shoulders.
