Friends and family,
First and foremost, I want to let everyone know that I take full responsibility for the situation that I have gotten myself in to. Months ago, the tumor was just a small lump that could have been removed with a simple procedure. I ignored it and let it grow and didn't tell anyone about it until it got really big and the pain was so intense that I couldn't take it anymore. I was self medicating with beer and generic Tylenol (not drinking now that I have pain meds). I eventually showed my sister Becky which got the ball rolling. I was hoping that it was just a big abscess that could be drained and removed. No... It's a huge cancerous tumor, as I'm sure you all know by now. And, yes.. It is life threatening.
Instead of chemo (which probably would not have helped in this case), I'm going to be having "Immunotherapy " (look it up) treatment. My Dr. is Mark DeLeon. The meds alone for immunotherapy are in the tens of thousands of dollars. That doesn't even take in to consideration all other costs. His financial person Cindy is working on getting me Medicaid. She said that it's very likely that that will be approved.
I'm setting up this account not only to help with medical bills, but also because I'm unemployed and need money living expenses. My sister Becky is helping me out as much as possible, for which I am eternally grateful. My unemployment is a result of this situation and also personal circumstances that I would rather not share on the internet.
As far as the goal amount, I just picked a random number because I don't know yet if I'll be getting financial assistance (there are other options other than Medicaid). And I thought it best to pick a really high amount because it's kinda funny. Also, I have applied for unemployment and food stamps.
So, please give whatever you can afford and tell others about this account. I'm not proud.

P.S. My phone is unlimited talk and text only (no pics), and is not Internet. However, I do receive Facebook notifications that someone has sent me a Facebook message or link. I will probably end up upgrading before this whole thing is over. Right now, I go to the public library to access Internet.
