My name is Lauren,

I’m sure you are all aware of the devastation caused by the bushfires in Victoria this week. Many have lost their homes and now face the enormous task that is the aftermath of this devastation.

Unfortunately my younger brother Glen and his partner Chloe were among the unlucky ones that lost their home, in Creightons Creek, as part of the Longwood fire.

They were in a rental and their contents were uninsured.

They risked their lives to save their animals, 4 horses, 3 sheep, 2 dogs and a cat which they managed to get to safety.

They also managed to save Glen’s race car, which he has spent the 10+ years building himself. They lost all of the spare parts as well as all of his tools (if you’re a car enthusiast, you’ll understand), motorbikes and riding gear, all of Chloe’s horse gear and of course all of their clothing and furniture all gone.

I’m reaching out for ANY financial donations (as they have nowhere to store) big or small. I understand that many have lost everything and we can’t donate to everyone, but if you’re in a position to help this young couple out, my family and I would be forever grateful.

We want to get them back on their feet so they can start to rebuild their lives.
