Glen Alan Cooper Memorial Fund

We are fundraising for our family in light of the recent passing of our beloved Granddaddy Glen. We have lost multiple close family members in the last 15 months and it has had a devastating effect on our family. The cost of funeral and memorial services is astronomical without a life insurance policy and causing undue hardship for our beloved Grandmommy Cheryl, as well as the rest of the immediate family.

Glen Alan Cooper passed away while at home with his best friend and wife of nearly 60 years, Cheryl Tubbs Cooper. Cheryl, along with their children, grandchildren, great grandchild, and a large extended family, are devastated by this loss and will miss him indefinitely.

Glen was known to be a bit of a walking encyclopedia and could discuss in depth a wide range of topics from history to mechanical to cinematic to electronics to music. He worked for many years in sales where his knowledge and friendly personality meshed well together. He also moonlighted, along with his father, uncle and at least two cousins, as an usher in the early days of the Mid-South Coliseum. Glen had a great, zany sense of humor (often a bit on the dry side) and he appreciated the quirky side of things.

His sudden and unexpected passing has been catastrophic for all of us, further compounded by the recent unexpected passing of his grandson, Jesse Cooper (“Hey, Kid’), in December 2022 and his Son-In-Law, Kevin Spragg, in June 2022.

To put it into perspective of relations, Cheryl has lost her beloved Husband, Son-In-Law, and only Grandson. Georgie has lost her beloved Father, Husband, and only Son. Baby Molly has lost her beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Every member of our family has close, rich, in-depth relationships with eachother and has been devastated by these losses, all sudden and unexpected, within an 15-month time span.

We are starting this Go Fund Me to try to alleviate some of the financial burden on Grandmommy Cheryl, to cover Funeral and Memorial Services costs (~$21,000) and assist with living costs as we try to adjust to this new life without yet another one of our most cherished family members.
