Hello!
We are Jhett & Callie Sioux (Gleewood) from New Mexico. We've been married for 6 years and touring playing music full time for the past 5 years in the US. We play original FolkRock/Americana for our full story check out our Bio on our website. We are completely independent and DIY. We handle all of our own promotion and booking. Last fall we booked our first European Tour and found our people. We determined to go back as soon as possible. In May of this year we had the opportunity to travel to Ireland to play music and write before our official album release tour (Listen Here ) with M & O music out of France for mainland Europe beginning in August. We booked this tour ourselves and M & O is distributing our new album. We flew over with a bunch of our equipment necessary for the tour, however that has fallen through and that equipment will not be accompanying us on our mainland tour which leaves us in a strange position of needing funds to get the equipment necessary to complete our time in Ireland and play our already booked shows in Europe & Australia.
Your help will go towards:
Van Rental (Europe) Australia's is already lined up. $2500 (for 3 months)
Acoustic Guitar (Ours will be leaving with Paul) $400 to $600
Drum Kit $400 to $600
Public Transport / Parking $600
Lodging $600
Misc. Music gear (new cables, a microphone, mic stands)
$300
Battery operated guitar amp $300
We are currently working mornings for lodging on a farm and most all of our lodging in Europe is lined up, but we will still need to grab a few hostels along the way.
(Busking in the streets of Ireland)
Awesome things are still happening and we are here with purpose and drive.
Yes, we did get a distribution deal by M & O Music for promoting our shows and albums across Europe.
We are playing some of the most prestigious venues in Ireland with some really special ones to be announced!
We are learning a ton from performing on the street and meanwhile experimenting with new music (but any of you who know us will understand that it is not our end-game to be doing so).
We are truly still on the path of carrying out our dreams and pursuing truth in entertainment and art.
However...
We have hit a few small bumps in a long road. There are no big shots left in the music industry, only the little ones that fire over and over again. Thanks to people like you who keep independent music alive, we have accomplished so much in the past 5 years!
To see this portion of the tour we are calling the "The Irish Experiment" See our Vlog on youtube.
We are not at a dead end, nor are we stranded, and even though we have been non-stop hustling since our arrival here, we are still unable to put together enough assets to embark on our official 'European Album Release Tour.' We are close, but we need your help keeping this alive, I believe we are all destined to kick ass, but we can't do it alone.
All of this is being catalogued by our good friend Adrian Reyes who is along for the ride running our merchandise and social media. Any photos or videos you see of us are his works of art.
(Adrian Reyes)
We cannot thank you enough for your wonderful support and love!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
