Gleaton Family Fight Against Colon Cancer

As many of you know, our family received a devastating diagnosis in December 2021 when my husband, Nicola was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 46. For the first year, 2022, Nicola went through several cycles of chemotherapy and had many hospital stays. Last year, his second year, he went through more chemo cycles, radiation, and surgery to remove the primary tumor. This year marks his third year of treatment and it has been a very rough year. Nicola has developed an allergy to one of the medications and has been undergoing a desensitization protocol that extends the amount of time he is being treated. This has caused a significant increase in side effects and their intensity. Although he is continuing to work, he is missing more days due to the cumulative effects of the chemotherapy, which is, in turn affecting our finances.

These funds will be used by our family for medical bills and medications, groceries, gas and utilities.
