Help our Gleneagle Grads - the 25th cohort of students to graduate from Gleneagle Secondary - celebrate their Grade 12 completion in a fun and safe way. The proud parents of these kids need your support to host an all-night event: a prom after-party referred to as "After Grad".

NEW Event Venue: For the first time in the school's 25-year history, we are unable to hold our AfterGrad event at the school. This need for a new venue means our Parent Planning Committee has to find additional funding for the unanticipated rental fees.

We started our search for a new venue back in September, but it wasn't easy to find a space open past midnight and large enough for 200+ energetic teens, the volunteer team, decorations, food booths, as well as a variety of games, activities and entertainment. Many venues in our local area simply don't have that capacity or availability to host this event.

After exhausting what seemed to be all options, we finally connected with an event coordinator for a local movie theatre. The initial proposal for 3 auditoriums (2 for movies + 1 for music/video games), exclusive use of the arcade area, gaming tokens and basic concession vouchers came to over $12K! This doesn't even cover our expenses for decorating, security or safe transportation.

We rely heavily on fundraising and the generosity of sponsors to minimize the cost per student to attend the event. A lot of volunteer hours are invested into making it a memorable night, accessible for all the grade 12 students who want to attend.
