Glass Half Full: Bill Dodrill’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brenda Thompson. On October 5, my brother-in-law, Bill Dodrill (husband to my sister Ellen), suffered a stroke. The stroke primarily affected Bill’s ability to speak and read, but also affected his fine motor skills. If you know Bill & Ellen, you know that they are incredibly hardworking and generous people, and have worked hard in raising not only their three children but also in helping to raise five of their grandchildren.
What you may not realize is that they do not have health insurance. For that reason, we would like to help raise some money to help put at least a small dent in the mounting medical expenses they have already incurred and will continue to incur as Bill works hard with speech and occupational therapists to recover his speech, cognitive abilities, and fine motor skills.
One of the passions of their lives is books & reading — so as you might imagine, not being able to read is very difficult for Bill. They have a long road ahead, but due in part to the prayers of many, Bill has already made some progress.
Any amount you can donate to help ease their financial burden would be wonderful! Thank you so much!
