Glaslough Villa Storm Eowyn Damage
Donation protected
Like many homes and businesses Glaslough villa was not exempt to the damage caused by storm Eowyn in January this year.
The fencing that surrounds the ground in Annagap was almost entirely wiped out, leaving the pitch free to graze on by our normally friendly and loving bovine neighbours in the adjacent land.
Winning trophies brings plenty of joy to the players and supporters, but unfortunately does not cover the costs. It is essential that we replace the fencing and repair the dressing rooms as soon as possible to make our pitch safe for the upcoming summer camps where we hope to cater for 180 kids from aged 6-13 years old. The revenue from the summer camp enables the club to continue our ever growing Friday night academy for these youngsters as they start their footballing journey where we hope to unearth the next Messi or even a Harry Maguire. Most importantly, the kids get out in the fresh air to learn new skills and away from the dreaded screens for a couple of hours.
We, Glaslough Villa, kindly ask you to donate what you can and please share this with all your friends so we can continue the great work our band of volunteers have done with the hundreds of youngsters in the last few years
