Glasgow to Edinburgh Cycle
4 years ago when I was 6 years old I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This was the most scariest thing ever. The first thing I remember is all off a sudden people where wanting to jab me with needles and I did not understand why. I soon learned that if I wanted to eat I would have accept a jag. This made me very sad. Over the years I learned so much about my body and my broken pancreas. I just wish my diabetes would go away!
I have decided to do a sponsored cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh on the 24th of August, to help raise money for Diabetes UK in hope that one day in the future they can find a cure. This cycle will be extremely challenging due to the impact it will have on my blood sugars, but I'm sure plenty treats along the way will help stop me from having a hypo. So please even if you can donate £1 or just share my story I will be very thankful.
