Gladstone Kitty Colony

Hello! We are four members of the South Australian community looking to address a firmly established cat colony in the Western Suburbs. Our assessment is there are approximately 30 cats, with about half of these being kittens. While most are in visibly healthy condition, some do require medical attention.

With donations already received we have been able to help 15 cats and kittens, which is incredible!

The council and welfare organisations are unable to help due to capacity reasons. Similarly, many rescues are unable to help due to financial pressures. We are asking for financial assistance to help with the veterinary costs of getting the cats desexed and vaccinated (ready for rehoming)- to stop the endless breeding cycle.

This colony is still of a manageable size, so we want to nip it in the bud before it gets out of control and animals need to be euthanised.

Donations of any size would be of great assistance and will go directly to the vet and/or any rescues who assist with getting appointments and discounted veterinary care. All food, transport and miscellaneous costs will be covered by us so you can be sure your donation is directly allowing for the reduction in stray cat populations.
