Last night, Widget started crying for us. When we went to see what was up, she was on my husband's bed, panting heavily, drooling, and crying, with hot front paws and cold back paws. We stood her up to check her mobility, and she couldn't move her back legs at all. We immediately took her to the pet emergency clinic, who diagnosed her with likely Saddle Thrombus, or Feline Aortic Thromboembolism. She managed to pull through the night, and after paying 900$ to the emergency vet, we took her to her regular vet at 7:30 this morning. They've had her for monitoring all day. They did an xray, and her heart is enlarged and she has fluid in her lungs. She likely doesn't have much time left to live, but we would like her to be comfortable in what little time she has left. We also frankly have already tapped out friends and family members just to pay for the emergency vet, and have no clue how we're paying the regular vet at this point. So unfortunately I have to turn to the wider internet and ask for help. Anything helps, even if it's just sharing this link. Widget, my husband, and I deeply appreciate it. Thank you for reading.
