Hi, my name is Riki and on April 25th my 16 year old son suffered a gunshot in the back that shattered a vertebrae in his spine and caused a spinal cord injury as well caused a collapsed lung multiple rib fractures and some pretty bad scraped knees. He is currently paralyzed from right below his sternum down. We are waiting on his lungs to improve so that he can have surgery. They will go in his spine and insert rods and pins to stabilize the spine so that it can heal properly. I am a single parent that typically works 45-50 hours a week and am currently unable to work. We are currently being treated at UMMC which is about an hour and a half away from all of our family and friends. I don’t like asking for help at all. I have always been the one who just figures out a way to make things work. We have a long journey ahead of us. So even if you’re unable to donate please share and pray for us. Thank you.
