Hello everyone, meet Marlene,

Update: Marlene passed on July 14th but here’s who she was.

A 43-year-old African American fighter!

She’s everybody’s sister/auntie/mama/friend. She was a strong, brave, and a major fighter! She was always willing to help anyone that needs help. If she had it, so ddid that person she was helping. She was a great mother and grandmother to her four children and two granddaughters, and a wonderful wife to her husband.

Marlene was more than just a person; she was a go-getter, an inspiration, a motivator, and a supporter. And sooo much more.

But now, Marlene’s family need some help.

Since December 2023, Marlene has been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, which is a rare but very aggressive cancer. After having chemotherapy and radiation treatments, the cancer still continued to spread to her liver, lungs, brain, kidney, and bones. She had to have oxygen to help her breathe and was unable to be mobile and communicate with her family.

Doctors had concluded that there wasn’t a cure and any other treatments moving forward could be dangerous. The family is looking for help to assist with funeral service arrangements.
