Hi my name is Liberty Ive been diagnosed with a late stage form of cancer in march this year called Fibrolamellar carcinoma. I have had surgery to replace one tumor that was in my left liver that was the size of 10cm and causing me awful pain so they took my left liver away .. but they could not remove my other tumors as the surgeon explained it would kill me to remove them so I’m starting chemo and immunotherapy in 2 weeks . The other tumor is next to my stomach 10cm! it’s wrapped in lymph nodes and blood vessels as to why they couldn’t remove and my new four tumors are in my right liver the problem is the right liver is not as big as the left so it doesn’t have enough room when it starts to grow and I can’t have surgery as I’ve already only got half a liver. The cancer I have is not from any of my decisions in life it is a rare 1 in 5 million young adults kids and teenagers only suffer from this type of liver cancer that comes for no reason it attacks healthy liver. I started having problems around 2 years ago, I was always tired I had allergies to food I would throw up and bad stomach pains I have also lost a lot of weight I used to be a size 10 and now I am a size 6 and my weight was rapidly dropping for years . I had a lot of comments about this but I never knew what was happening as I used to go to the hospital on and off A&E you name it I just got sent home with nothing so I thought I was going crazy , they misdiagnosed me with stomach ulcers ! And now I’m battling stage 4 Fibrolamellar carcinoma and prognosis isn’t good at all I just don’t know what to do all I can do now is hope the chemo and immunotherapy works and shrinks my tumors otherwise I have no other options as to why I’m starting a go fund me . And I don’t like things like this because I don’t want people to think attention seeking or anything but it has taken over my life I’ve been hospital so many times this year with infections and illnesses that I pick up from other people like a cold isn’t just a cold for me these things can kill me as my immune system is already low because of the cancer I’m battling so I’m just looking for help if the chemo and immunotherapy doesn’t work I’m not going to just give up! I have siblings family and friends that care about me I can’t give up I’m only 21 and have been suffering since I was 19 !! I have a life to live .. I also found out a month after finding out about cancer that me and my partner were pregnant with twins I was over the moon and then we didn’t have much luck as the tumors grew too big in size and I went to my 8 week scan to find out there was no heartbeat anymore we was both absolutely heartbroken… I was so excited to be a mama this is all I’ve ever wanted and it got taken away from me because of cancer!! so yeah not much else to say just Fuck cancer!! It’s a horrible disease and im sure a lot of you reading this has lost somebody to cancer.
