Matthew was diagnosed with a brain tumor the week of Thanksgiving 2024 and had brain surgery on May 20, 2025. As you can imagine, this has been a life changer for the Cotes! As Matthew continues to heal and adjust to his new realities of life, and with Matthew being unemployed for the unforeseen future, this will help lighten the load they're carrying just a little bit.

During seasons of difficulty, friends will often set up a MealTrain to relieve the receiver of the stresses of knowing what's for dinner. However, with their dietary restrictions that becomes more challenging, which is another reason for this fundraiser.
