If you knew Melissa and Alex then you know life isn't always fair. They have kind of love story that people talk about wanting, but is a lot of hard work.
See both of them are hard headed. The good kind of stubborn where thankfully it leads them to take care of one another. A few month back Melissa forced Alex to go to the hospital for a headache. Thankfully she did because they found a stage 3 mass on his brain that had to be removed. And then there were the trips back and forth and infections and endless sea of emotionally and physically draining jobs. Melissa never once slowed down. I have watched them be together for years and in all my life, I never seen vows taken so seriously. In sickness and health till death do us part.
They have four beautiful children. The youngest of which is 2 years old. It's 2 weeks before Christmas and I woke up today and found out their house had burnt down. All of it, gone. I spoke to Alex's mother who
informed me that they were able to get Alex's chemo meds out, but everything else was lost.
These are good people. These are the kind of people that will give you the shirt off their backs, blankets if you're cold, food to eat, they would help anyone with anything, and they went from starting this year buying their first home to Stage 3 brain cancer and nothing except the clothes on their backs in a matter of months.
My heart is breaking for theirs. Please if you are able to help, do so. And if you are not please share the link.
