Help the Martinez Family after House Fire

This family is experiencing the aftermath of a devastating house fire.

In the afternoon of Dec. 13th, following the death of her mother Juana who died the day before on Sunday Dec.12th after fighting COVID 19 for 8 months, the home of Leidy caught fire. Luckily they were all able to escape by running and breaking a window. There are no words to explain the unimaginable pain the family is feeling at this time. No words can express the feeling of overnight homelessness, especially one week before Christmas. This is an incredibly hard time with a long road ahead now more than ever, we are asking for the support from our community. The fire destroyed their home, clothes, and most of their possessions, leaving them with absolutely nothing. Anything you can give to help Leidy and her family rebuild during this devastating time would be so appreciated and massively helpful as they start to recover and find a new home.

En la tarde del 13 de diciembre, luego de la muerte de su madre Juana, quien murió la víspera el domingo 12 de diciembre después de luchar contra el COVID 19 durante 8 meses, la casa de Leidy se incendió. Afortunadamente, todos pudieron escapar corriendo y rompiendo una ventana. No hay palabras para explicar el dolor inimaginable que siente la familia en este momento. No hay palabras que puedan expresar la sensación de estar sin hogar durante la noche, especialmente una semana antes de Navidad. Este es un momento increíblemente difícil con un largo camino por delante ahora más que nunca, estamos pidiendo el apoyo de nuestra comunidad. El fuego destruyó su casa, su ropa y la mayoría de sus posesiones, dejándolos sin absolutamente nada. Cualquier cosa que pueda dar para ayudar a Leidy y su familia a reconstruir durante este tiempo devastador sería muy apreciada y de gran ayuda a medida que comienzan a recuperarse y encontrar un nuevo hogar.
