My name is Chelsea, I am a wife to an incredible, hardworking, and loving husband, Jay, and the Mama to 3 precious children (ages 10 to 15) who are truly my world along with our pets!

On January 18, 2026, while getting ready for church, I discovered a lump in my chest that didn't belong there. Just over two weeks later, on February 4, we received the devastating diagnosis: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (breast cancer), estrogen receptor positive (ER+), AND progesterone receptor positive (PR+), and its grade 3—aggressive. We're still awaiting for stage- how much its spread throughout my body, but the combination is frightening. My heart aches thinking of my children seeing me go through this, and I pray every day that this journey ends in healing and not in a memorial.

We chose the insurance we could afford Regence, with a high-deductible plan, believing our good health would carry us through without major medical expenses. We were wrong—and now we're facing a minimum of $8,500 in out-of-pocket costs for oncology visits, surgery, chemotherapy, medications, and follow-up care. Without help, it's hard to see how we'll cover these life-saving treatments while keeping our home stable.

To make matters even heavier, our main family car is failing—the engine lifters are ticking, which means the motor is on its last legs. With 3 kids attending 3 different schools in 3 different towns, we desperately need two reliable vehicles so Jay can keep working and we can get to appointments and school without fear of breaking down.

Jay works tirelessly, often picking up overtime to provide for us. Last year he earned $2,000 UNDER the limit for Oregon Health Plan (OHP) eligibility, but the little bit of overtime he worked in January disqualified us for the entire year. We're doing everything we can, but the financial burden feels overwhelming as we focus on fighting this battle.

We believe in the power of prayer! If the Lord has placed it on your heart to help—whether through a gift, no matter the size, or by sharing this page with your family, friends, church, co-workers —we would be eternally grateful. Your support would allow me to continue treatments without the constant worry of unpaid bills, so I can focus on healing, being present for my kids, and trusting God for restoration.

Please know: If giving would stretch your own finances, we completely understand—please don't feel any obligation. Simply lifting us up in prayer or sharing our story is a huge blessing!

Thank you from the depths of our hearts for reading our story. May God richly bless you and your families.

Chelsea, Jay, and our three kids
