Hi, I’m Grace. In December I adopted a kitten and she has been the sweetest, most loving addition to my life. My 5 year old dog was struggling daily with anxiety and Poppy immediately became a pillar of safety for him. On Monday March 6th Poppy started to limp very slightly. By Tuesday she was limping badly on both legs and by Wednesday she was barely able to move. I immediately took her for X-rays and we found out she has severe hip dysplasia in both hips along with grade 4 Bilateral medial patellar luxations. They are going to operate on her knees on march 22nd and then assess her hips afterward. This surgery is estimated to be $7,000.00. Poppy is only 6 months old and due to regulations on insurance policies, she does not qualify for pet insurance. They have to be 12 month symptom free on the policy before she qualifies for treatment. I want to be able to provide her the best care and I never thought I’d be on the other end of a go fund me. Poppy deserves to be pain free. She currently cannot use the litterbox on her own due to the pain she’s in and is basically immobilized due to this situation. I’m so appreciative for any help we can provide for this sweet kitten as she deserves the world and more. I hope by doing these surgeries she’ll be able to live a long and happy life!
