Christine's Cancer Fund

My name is Clarissa, I am one of three of my mom's children. My siblings and I are fundraising for our moms cancer treatment expenses.

For those of you who know our mother, Christine, she is the strongest person you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. Her lust for life is one to be admired. Over the past couple weeks my family found out heartbreaking news. Our mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer that has traveled into her liver.

Going through the unknown process of treatment for this disease is scary and stressful. However, finances often create more anxiety. In hopes of easing the financial burden, we are setting up this page to raise donations for our mom’s treatment.

We want to share a bit of background about how amazing our mother is.

20 years ago, our mom found out she was not having one, but three babies at the same time. Alongside our dad, Brian, Christine raised us with the most love and care. Always supporting us through life, and recently our college journeys. Anytime one of us needs something she doesn't think twice to drop what she's doing and help.

Christine also takes care of her mom “Omi”, who suffers from Dementia, and her sister (my Aunt Ingrid), who has special needs. The past five years have been a rollercoaster of events, as she had the responsibility of making the hard decision to move them from their home in Ransomville, NY to our home in Alpharetta GA, selling her beloved mother's house. Christine has been the full caregiver, taking care of their taxes, medical bills, and daily needs for years.

Every day comes with a new challenge for Christine to take on. She is always smiling, putting the needs of others first.

The first night we saw our mom in the hospital she broke down, saying she should not be the one in the hospital bed, she is supposed to take care of others.

It’s time we take care of her. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. We never could’ve imagined our family going through a life-changing event. I ask you to please help our family ease the financial burden as we care for our mom during this unthinkable moment in her life.

The money received will help pay the expenses of treatment that her insurance won't cover. These expenses are something no one can be prepared for. Anything helps and we are greatly appreciative of all the support we have already received.
