I ask for your support and compassion for my stepfather Stephen Ande who has just been diagnosed with throat cancer. Starting next week he will have to undergo months of painful, debilitating treatment including extensive radiation and chemo. His cancer is complicated by not only his age, 73, but by his diabetes. Due to the aggressive need for treatment he has had  to leave his job and is unable to receive financial assistance from the government. Stephen is the main financial provider for my mother. Once treatment starts she will become his main caretaker as he will need around the clock care. 

Stephen is a member of St Juliana’s Church and has volunteered there since childhood. He is always the first to offer a smile and help to a stranger. He is a loving husband, father and grandfather. We pray that his body is strong enough to fight through this and recover after chemo. Please keep him in your prayers.
