Thank you for your interest in The Gladiolus Project’s COVID-19 fundraising campaign. The Gladiolus Project is a student-run, nonprofit organization based in San Diego with the purpose of assisting our local communities to fight against the spread of communicable diseases through fundraising, education, and awareness. Currently, there are over 12.2 million coronavirus cases worldwide and over 553,000 deaths. In the United States alone, there are over 3.17 million cases and over 135,000 deaths. The number of cases and deaths are rising rapidly every day, and we want to do our part in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In an effort to aid our communities during this difficult time, we decided to create a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for UC San Diego Health’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. Our goal is to raise $1000 throughout the course of this campaign. Every dollar will go directly to UCSD and their efforts to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
We decided to support UCSD Health in their efforts against coronavirus because all donations made to their Emergency Fund will go directly towards expanding clinical testing, developing new therapies and vaccines for treatment, studying the coronavirus, and improving environmental and community health.
