Hello, my name is Omolabake Ganiyu, I am an international student (Nigerian) studying at the University of Manitoba, Canada. I major in psychology, with a minor in business management.
My story
I started my university education in 2015, at the time my parents had a good financial standing. But in early to mid-2016, Nigeria was faced with an economic recession that caused a financial stand-still in many businesses. My mum was laid off from Nigerian Breweries Plc., after many years of work. My mum and dad's joint business that involves the distribution of beer and other beverages was also greatly affected. Therefore, my parents who happen to be my sponsor could no longer afford my education.
It will be highly appreciated if you could donate to my cause. Any amount will go a long way in getting me back to school. I have attached some documents to back up my story.
Thank you.

why did it take me so long to seek help? and why I need your help.
My education came to a stop mid-2017 due to the fact that I owe the school a debt of $9262.47. Since then, I have been trying to raise the money on my own. But as an international student, I am only allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours a week during school sessions. A chunk of my income goes to my house rent and other bills, which has made it difficult to settle my debt alone. I have received numerous emails and calls from the university, asking me to pay up as soon as possible. Although the tuition I am owing at the moment comes down to $9262.47, the rest of the money will help keep me in school for the next school session. It will be necessary for me to stay in school as I am an international student on a study permit.
