"He's a complicated man, but no one understands him but his woman."

With over $30K of life-saving medical expenses, this geriatric child needs a subsidy!

Introducing: His Majesty, Empurr-roar Gizmo! (with the exclamation mark) Lavondrius of ‘Murica

My sweet old baby has been through it. I adopted this fuzz nugget from the Baltimore Humane Society in November of 2012—when he was 4 months old. Now, at age 13 (76 in human years), I am dedicated to making his golden years comfy and filled with joy.

But, that comes at a cost…

For the past few years, he has endured countless sonograms, ultrasounds, radiographs, specimen tests, and other ER & specialist visits to keep him in tip-top shape.

When I first adopted him, I treated him for an upper respiratory infection upon arriving home. For the past few years, he has developed more significant diagnoses:

  • Lymphoma
  • Diabetes
  • Irritable bowel disease
  • Degenerative valve disease
  • Heart murmur
  • Lower urinary tract disease
  • Urinary blockage x2

His medical bills for life-saving procedures in the last year alone have been overwhelming. This does not include the medications and supplies needed for his complex daily regimen, which entails:

  • 8:00 a.m. Blend food, Syringe feed through esophageal feeding tube, Mix medications for administration through feeding tube, Flush feeding tube, dispense insulin
  • 2:00 p.m. Syringe feed through esophageal feeding tube, Flush feeding tube, Clean suture area, Replace protective pad
  • 8:00 p.m. Syringe feed through esophageal feeding tube, Flush feeding tube, Administer appetite stimulant, Dispense insulin
  • ~10:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. Syringe feed through esophageal feeding tube, Flush feeding tube

All funds raised will go directly toward his ongoing care and procedures that have already saved his life. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help him to stay happily by my side.

Gizmo! has been my right-hand man through depression, master’s degree studies, and multiple relocations. After treating him, my goal is to foster special needs kitties. So let’s call this my fundraising debut!
