Gizmo’s Medical & Rehabilitation Fund

HI. We are Nico & JR proud parents of our beautiful “fur-son” Gizmo. We are facing a tough time addressing the medical needs for our Gizmo. We noticed his left side front & hind leg buckling, giving out making him fall to the floor. He was also “scuffing”, dragging, scraping his paws causing his nails to wear down exposing his nerve which lead to bleeding. We had to stop his walks because where we live the concrete and asphalt are rough surfaces which made his nails wear down. He is so sad and upset that he doesn’t get to out anymore. We took him to the vet and after exam, bloodwork & X-rays (at a big cost), Gizmo has been diagnosed with neurological deficit disorder on his left side. Meaning that the message to his brain for his left side to work accordingly isn’t getting it. X-rays show he has a bulging disc in his cervical spine. He’s been placed on pain medicine and steroids but no huge improvement has happened. Vet is saying our next step is having him seen by a neurologist. The neurologist will order an MRI. The neurologist fees along with the MRI will be yet another big cost. Upon recommendation of a friend and neighbor we are trying another option. We had him seen by a holistic vet. The holistic vet recommended physical, laser, aquatic, medicinal & technological therapies for his condition. You can imagine what this is going to cost. We know our Gizmo is worth it but we can’t make ends me
