Hi, my name is Stuart and I'm fundraising for a memorial to Gizmo.

Gizmo was a popular and well-loved personality around Minehead, popping in regularly around Butlins, Tesco and the Seaward Way area, but just as likely to appear anywhere around town. He once turned up in McColls when I was working there, and made himself comfortable on one of the shelves until his human arrived to chauffer him home.

Sadly his happy, wandering life was suddenly cut short and I am attempting to raise money for something for the town to commemorate a character that had touched so many.

I don't know what shape this memorial with take- a plaque on a bench or on the street, or even a little statue. It depends on how much is raised.
