Update: 3/6/2024
Here a little update for Gizelle, she’s currently at San Jose, California with her husband Mel as her caregiver. They’ve reside there since January 2nd, 2024 across the street from Stanford Hospital where Gizelle is being treated. She’s currently an outpatient but having checkups 3 days a week. She was an inpatient from January through middle of February.
December of last year Our Family found out that Gizelle’s youngest sibling Gianne is 100% match donor for a transplant . And we were very blessed and thankful to hear the news. Gianne was gladly to accept to be her sister’s keeper.
On January 12 Gizelle received the transplant and still slowly recovering. She and husband Mel will still be living there till mid April.
And everything will be determined with her Bone Marrow Biopsy results on April 12.
Thank you to those who donated!
Thank you for sending love and prayers!
Any amount helps! Thank you!!
Those who are fortunate enough to know Gizelle Alyssa, knows that she goes above and beyond for everyone in her life. She plays a significant role in our lives by always taking care of us. When she's not caring for others, she's hiking, riding her motorbike, spending a lot of time outdoors, and being the life of the party at family events. Her and her husband Mel recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary and have one of life's greatest blessings of being a step-mom to their daughter Chassity.
On July 22nd, she received a heartbreaking and shocking diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Although devastated, we remain positive and hopeful that she will overcome this as she had with other obstacles in her life.
Gizelle is currently admitted to Straub Medical Center, with Mel by her side, receiving multiple rounds of treatment. She is estimated to be there until the first week of September. As you can imagine, medical treatment and hospital bills are still very expensive even after insurance. Gizelle continues to take one step at a time, the future is so uncertain with medical treatments and appointments.
We graciously ask for your financial support, positive thoughts, and prayers.
No matter the amount, we will forever be grateful for your generosity.
