How it all began
I was born on January 28th, 2003 in Lübeck and grew up on the island of Fehmarn.
When I was 5 years old, my parents moved with me to Austria (Tyrol).
From then on I was on skis all winter long and was able to pursue my dream of becoming a ski racer.

Since my mother worked as a ski instructor, I was able to go to the ski school every day straight after school and start training.
I did my first ski races when I was 6 years old. First for Austria, since we lived there.
When I was 10, I moved to the Neustift ski boarding school in the Stubaital, which I attended for 4 years. I then switched to the Mals ski high school in South Tyrol/Italy, which I attended for 5 years and graduated with a high school diploma.

Career
During my childhood from U6 to U12, I did a lot of ski races in Austria and had a lot of success.
However, when I was 12, I moved to the Partenkirchen Ski Club (Garmisch-Partenkirchen), as I could only join a senior squad in Germany due to my German citizenship.
In the meantime, I was in the junior squad of the German Ski Association for 5 years and have achieved successes such as podium places and victories in FIS races, German champion in the U18 slalom, 3rd place at the German U21 championships, a victory in the technical competition for the best ski technique and many others .
My nomination for the Youth Olympics in Finland is also worth mentioning. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to participate due to a positive result from a Covid test.

After finishing school in Mals (Abitur), I was able to devote myself exclusively to skiing. Initially in the squad for another year before I was accepted into the Team Clif Racing Academy (TCRA) last season. In addition to the hard training, I also started an online course in the field of international management (international job opportunities).

My past winter
Last winter, with the help of the new team and environment, I was able to have my best FIS season to date.
For me, preparations began this summer and the start of the racing season in New Zealand. There I was able to collect points in the first Continental Cups and secure a starting place in the first starting group especially for this year's races in New Zealand.
After the final preparations in Austria and Italy, we went to America from mid-November to mid-January to officially start the racing season there.
In addition to FIS races, I took part in several North American Cup (NAC) races during this time. I was able to learn a lot and gain important experience that was of great help to me for the rest of the season across Europe.
I made a lot of progress mentally and technically and took myself to a higher level. Unfortunately, I didn't make it into the B squad by 2 points.

Future
Since I barely achieved this status this season, but my will and my belief in myself still exist, I will give everything to be able to show off in the European Cup next season. I'm looking for ways to finance another season on Team Clif.
Of course, such a season brings with it high costs. Of course I get a lot of support from Atomic, Clif, two other private sponsors and my parents. In addition to the hard fitness training, I work in a hotel in the summer and at the ski school on my days off in the winter to get possible financial relief.

Unfortunately, this does not cover all the costs that I will incur over the course of the season.
That's why I'm now looking for support for the remaining €33,000 that comes to me privately.
This includes costs for:
Fitness training, physiotherapy, mental training etc. €6000
Ski training with a private team
€10,000
Accommodation, lift tickets, meals, travel expenses, etc.
€15,000
Service material, wax € 2000
In order to be successful this season I am looking for financial support. Who can help me?
My faith and your faith could be the key to success!
Ski safe, your Fynn
