Last year we were able to assemble 15 boxes to distribute to local hospitals. This year I would like to do at least 10. Each box costs roughly $125 to assemble.

We thank you for partnering with us. It means so much to us, but also the families who have to go on in life without the little one they were preparing to welcome into their families.

Here’s the backstory to our organization:

We lost our daughter Clara to a stillbirth on November 25, 2019. She was 32 weeks gestation, just 5 weeks away from her scheduled birthday by c section. There was no reason for her death, no explanation. A healthy pregnancy just ended. We were and still are devastated.

We ordered her a stocking that year to add to our Christmas decorations. It was embroidered with her beautiful name and adorned with a sweet little angel girl. When I opened the package my heart sank. I couldn’t imagine that her stocking would remain empty for my lifetime and no little hands would be reaching inside to pull things out.

At that point we decided that going forward we would fill stockings with care items for families of loss and drop them at the hospital around the date that we lost our precious girl. Our hope is that these stockings will bring comfort to hurting families and that they feel seen and loved.
