My sweet father, Timothy Goff, has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. This has come as a complete and total shock as he is a fairly healthy person who does not smoke. However surprising it may be, that doesn't change the fact that here we are.
Those of you who know my father know what kind of man he is. He would do absolutely anything for anybody. He has spent his life making other people smile through music. He would literally give the shirt off his back to help someone going through a hard time. And he has stood by me through my own difficult times, no questions asked.
He has spent the last few weeks going through scans and biopsy's. And this is just the beginning of a huge financial burden. There are so many out of pocket costs that go along with treatment. The costs of scans, treatment, therapy, etc, can be absolutely astronomical. The last thing I want him and my mother to worry about are out of pocket costs. Hopefully we can ease that burden just a little bit by giving back to him.
