It takes a certain level of strength and perseverance to overcome obstacles to take the first steps to achieve your dreams.

     I’m Amber, and I’ve spent my life living and breathing soccer. I was seven years old when I first stepped on the soccer field, scored my first goal, and my love for soccer develop. That day, I experienced the joy of scoring my first goal and the pain of receiving a ball to the face and breaking my nose. I’d like to say that this was only a brief moment of pain, but life threw me some curveballs that brought me pain, heartbreak, and depression. With my parent's support, love, and faith-filled guidance I’ve been able to overcome fear, anxiety, and the debilitating effects of being in abusive relationships. I’ve realized that I’m worthy of achieving my dreams and that those moments don't define me.

     No matter what you want, you have to have the desire to do it. I have a desire to play professional soccer and I’ve been given the opportunity to play with the NY Dutch Lions Women's Premier Soccer League. This opportunity is a platform for me to play and be seen (and/or) scouted by professional teams. So, that’s why I’m reaching out to my friends and family for help. While my parents have helped me with the initial fee of securing my spot on the team, I would like your help with raising $5,000 which includes the cost of my soccer fees, travel, and stay in NY while I play with the NY Dutch Lions FC. I will get to play with them from May 10th - July 1st, or longer if we make the playoffs.

     This is the opportunity, the moment that could forever change my life! Please help me to continue to rewrite my story, achieve my dreams, and let my story be one of success and inspiration for others. I would LOVE nothing more than to share with you in the upcoming weeks/months pictures and videos of me playing with the NY DLFC team and updating you on our success.
