Help Lay My Mom Jennett to Rest with Love and Dignity

Hi, my name is Crystal, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my sisters—Angel (28), Gabby (10), and myself (24)—to help cover funeral and burial costs for our beloved mom, Jennett.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My mom’s story is one of love, struggle, and resilience. She wasn’t perfect but she loved deeply and gave selflessly, especially in my early years. she was our rock the strongest woman we knew. A single mother, who gave everything she had to make sure we had what we needed. She was the kind of mother who encouraged us to chase every dream “shoot for the moon and you’ll land among the stars” she’d recite. She poured herself into everyone and often sacrificed her own needs for ours. She was creative, quirky, and had a laugh I’ll never forget. I’ll always remember the mushrooms she used to draw, the old movies she shared with us, and the way she would listen to the same songs on repeat which still are some of my favorite.

Addiction took a lot from her and from us. Over time, I grieved the loss of the mother I knew before the struggle became too much. In recent years, we saw more of her pain than her joy. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t create distance between us.

Days before she passed, she called me asking if she could come live with me. I told her I needed more time to think about it, but deep down, I was ready to say yes. I had finally worked hard enough to help her, and I thought we still had time. And now, with her gone, I’m heartbroken and devastated that I won’t ever be able to show her that I still loved her and hadn’t given up.

Losing her hurts more than I expected. But I also know she’s finally at peace. No more pain. No more suffering.

We want to give her the goodbye she deserves, a funeral that reflects her worth, her spirit, and the love we still have for her. Unfortunately, the costs of arranging this are more than our family can manage on our own.

I’m humbly asking for help to cover funeral costs, transportation, and a small memorial to honor her life. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world. If you can’t give, sharing this would also help tremendously.
