Giving Maximus more time❤️

Hello everyone, I am Max’s mum for those of you that don’t know us…

I got Max as a newly heartbroken and lonely 20 year old, not knowing how much a little fluff ball would change my entire world!

Max is the most amazing, loving and sweetest soul.. there isn’t a person that has met him and not fallen in love because he truly is just such a good boy! He is amazing with babies, kids, cats & even the occasional baby bunny we foster..

Fast forward 7 years and a cancer diagnosis later.. We were all heart broken to learn his little bump on his leg was a cancerous tumour, on April 9th 2024 we had as much of the tumour as possible removed. Only for my worst nightmare to come true, the tumour grew back and it came back with a vengeance, in the exact same spot I had a golf ball sized tumour removed became a soft ball sized growth causing my poor little man some discomfort and unfortunately some scary consequences if it is not dealt with.

After meeting with an oncologist and discussing Max’s results the Dr. gave me some positive news, the cancer has only shown up in his leg and in order to save Maximus from a short life filled with pain we have a chance to extend his life with a surgery that will definitely change everything. The tumour is unfortunately unable to be removed due to the size and the location. Removing the tumour completely is impossible and will only cause the cancer to either spread or come back even faster than the last time. So with the most broken heart I have went over all our options and we think it is best to amputate Max’s affected leg in hopes that this will stop the spread and give him more time to love and be loved by everyone he meets!

unfortunately this surgery is extremely costly and I understand that times are extremely tough for everyone right now and have been for the past few years! I am asking for help in anyway possible, even if that means a simple share of this post..

the estimate for this surgery is around $10,000 CAD. I am looking for as much help as I can get.

This is a major surgery with a very long and serious recovery which will require some time off work for myself as well to make sure my little man is getting the best care he possibly can get, that being said I am asking for help from anyone who can!
