Giving Life Back to Mama Leona

Hello Cousins, 

I am not sure what you have been told, but our grandma has been placed under the care of the state at Windsor. .. NOT because she has severe medical issues, but according to them....she was admitted as she has NO FAMILY to care for her " which is hard to believe considering how many of us there are.  It will now be 4 weeks.  If you have visited the facility, you will clearly agree that our mama does not belong with people who are bedridden, strapped to wheel chairs, and left there to die.  I spoke to a few people there and they also did not think that she needed to be there.  My focus is to raise some money to get her discharged (including any legal and administrative fees) and hopefully supplement the professional home care and her medicinal related expenses that Christel, Carlo, Vanessa, and I have been supporting.   If you can't spare any money, then I only ask that you at least visit her whether she gets out or not, but remember every dollar counts.  She is in her 90s and still strong compared to others that are even in there 70s, but does not have too many years left with us in this life and this is the least we can do for her.  She raised many of us and helped our parents and now its our turn.  I hope you find in your hearts to show your support and love for Mama.
