My dearest friends really need our love and support right now-more than ever. Tony Yerger has been going through one of the toughest times of his life for quite some time. He’s had to travel out of state to MSK-Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC to get the medical care he desperately needs. The latest medical update on Tony that his wife, Leigh Ann, had shared was their son, Logan, driving Tony to MSK on Monday, November 3rd. Tony was admitted due to numerous recent complications where he has received many tests/scans such as a PET scan, CT scans, and an MRI. He continues to have a lengthy list of issues stemming from acute myeloid leukemia. Due to his severity of pain, he was placed on a PCA (patient-controlled analgesia) that he is able to self-administer his own pain meds through IV.

Leigh Ann, has been Tony’s full-time caregiver. She recently had a fall on October 26th, breaking her right ankle in three areas and one break in her left foot. She had surgery and was discharged on November 6th. That same afternoon, their daughter, Lexie, drove them both into the city to be with Tony and relieve Logan. They both continue to be in NYC with Tony-right where they need to be at this time. While the focus has always been on getting Tony better, the everyday expenses are piling up. Between hotel costs, food, parking fees, and travel (gas)-it's becoming overwhelming and starting to cause some extra unnecessary anxiety.

The entire Yerger Family are the kind of people that would give the shirt off their back to help someone else, but now they are the ones who need our support. We are trying to raise $20,000 to help ease this financial burden so they can focus on what truly matters-being together as a family during this difficult time and deciding on the next best steps ahead.
