My daughters name is Christa Horton.  She is an amazing 25 year old woman who has a zeal for life and helping those who cannot help themselves. Over the past 2 years she has learned through multiple doctors and specialists that her knees are malformed and that she will need 2 total knee replacements at the age of 25 . After multiple doctors and sports medicine specialist refused to do any of the needed repairs,  we finally turned to the Mayo Clinic for help. We had a wonderful consolation and was informed that they would be willing to do the neccessary surgical procedures to fix her knees. She would be the 2nd youngest patient to have this radical surgery done there, where they basically remove the lower part of the knee repair it , immobilize it with pins and leg screws and place her in a halo then move on to the other areas until she can have a stabilized platform to keep her knees from dislocating. Very involved and very painful This is an answer to many tearful prayers,  and many disappointing visits to multiple doctors. The insurance I have as her father will cover part of the expenses but she turns 26 on 3/18/2020 and will age out from my insurance policy. The expenses are astronomical and we as her family have no way to cover all the needed rehabilitation and all that goes along with this process. This is her one shot to get this done and then she will have to endure the same thing on her other leg as soon as she is able to rehabilitate enough to get the other knee operated on.  I am hoping to raise enough money to help cover some of the costs for her to have a chance at a normal life. I am not one to ask for help , but this is my child and I am heartbroken that she cant enjoy what life has to offer her due to this debilitating situation she has been so bravely faced with joy and UNBELIEVABLE  fortitude.  If anyone would feel led to donate know that you would be making a dream come true and giving Christa a chance to get back to being the caring, kind and giving individual she is.  Thank you so very much in advance.
