Gift of Time: Providing Comfort with Cuddle Cots

On June 20th, 2023, my husband, Matt, and I experienced the heartbreaking loss of a stillborn baby named Jackson. As you can imagine, we were absolutely devastated by the realization that our son was gone. When I woke up from surgery, the medical staff brought me my baby in a special cooling bassinet called a Cuddle Cot, designed for parents whose babies have passed away. This device allowed us to have time and create as many memories as possible in the span of a few short days. Despite the profound sadness we felt, having those 48 hours with him after his birth was truly a blessing and brought us comfort.

After leaving the hospital, we discovered that not all medical facilities have access to these bassinets. That's when my husband and I decided to initiate this fundraiser with the goal of donating a Cuddle Cot to St. Anthony's Community Hospital in Warwick, NY. My hope is that no one will ever have to utilize one, but in the unfortunate event that they do, they can find solace in having this invaluable time with their babies.

This donation will provide countless bereaved parents with precious time to spend with their deceased baby.
