My name is Joe Stephens, and I am based in the United States. I am launching this campaign with one simple purpose: to show up for families in Gaza who are living through unimaginable need.
I am working in direct partnership with trusted individuals on the ground in central Gaza, people with proven experience delivering aid under extreme conditions. They understand the realities, the risks, and the urgency far better than anyone watching from afar.
At present, 15 families have been identified and allocated care packages, and photos will be shared as distributions take place. As we approach the season marking the birth of Jesus — in the very land where he was born — we are also prioritizing baby formula and diapers for families with infants, where these items are scarce and critically needed.
For every $60 raised, we aim to provide one complete care package for an additional family, as circumstances allow. Our initial goal is to support 15 families, with a moderate target of 90 families, and we will continue serving for as long as resources and access permit.
My partner in this effort is Abood Almadhoun — a chef, organizer, and devoted husband and father. He is directly affected by the situation and is physically present on the ground in Palestine, coordinating procurement and distribution. Every cent raised through this campaign will be spent locally, in nearby markets, using the most practical and safest methods available at any given moment.
The organizers on the ground will focus on the most vulnerable families, based on their firsthand knowledge and experience. They have full discretion to make substitutions or adjustments to aid packages when necessary, always guided by what will best serve each family’s immediate needs.
There is no one better positioned to do this work responsibly and effectively. Together, through this campaign and additional personal contributions, we are committed to ensuring that help reaches families who would otherwise go without.
Thank you for standing with us, for your trust, and for helping turn compassion into action.
