Acton Nashville Community,

While security and the safety of our learners, staff, and community, have been a priority and my main area of focus these last few weeks, I feel the need to also coordinate a giving opportunity for Covenant teachers and administrators.

I've been speaking with a friend (and Covenant parent) who has three daughters that attend and a sister who works in an administrative role at Covenant. The teachers and staff returned this week to prepare for a gradual reopening next week. I asked my friend for her thoughts on something we can provide for Covenant staff, as I know so much has been done already, and she suggested a self-care kit for their reopening week. I reached out to Acton Nashville parent, Sherri Roddick, who works with Thistle Farms. Thistle Farms has generously offered us special pricing to make this happen. If our community raises $1100, we can provide a "Hope" kit for each of the 42 staff members. Each kit will include a Calm healing oil, Lavender Bath Soak, Unscented Lip Balm and a Hope Candle. For any amount over, we will send extra treats like Crumbl cookies.

I would love to be able to honor the bravery Covenant staff showed during such a horrendous event and the bravery they continue to show in their reopening efforts.
