Giving Callie Hope
Donation protected
Dear friends, family & kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Katrina Profeta, and I am the proud aunt of our little 3 year old angel named Callie Violet, who has just been diagnosed with leukemia. It devastates me to share this story as no child should ever face this.
On October 1, 2024 Callie was brought to Children's Hospital experiencing unexplained fatigue and feeling unwell. Unexpectedly her parents Colin & Sheyanna received the most heart wrenching news. Her infectious smile, love for puppies & cats, and personality have brought so much joy to everyone around her, and now she needs our help.
Callie is currently in isolation at Children's Hospital with both of her parents at her side. In a short 48 hour period, Callie has already received several rounds of blood transfusions including plasma & platelets, a bone marrow biopsy and as of today began her first session of intense chemotherapy.
Each day will be a new challenge, filled with hope and resilience, but with that, it comes with its own set of difficulties- financially, emotionally and physically. Callie's treatment plan is ever changing as the hours go on, but for now she will remain in hospital.
Colin & Sheyanna are doing everything they can to provide Callie with their best care while also managing Callie's older sister, 5 year old Hannah. They will have to take time off work to be by her side, and the costs of treatment (not all medication will be covered), travel, and everyday living expenses are overwhelming. We want to help alleviate some of this burden so they can focus on what truly matters: Callie's recovery & hope.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Callie's expenses and to support the family during this challenging time. Your kindness will help ensure that Callie receives the treatment she needs and that her family can spend precious time together without the worry of financial strain.
Callie loves dresses, princesses, cats, all animals and her big sister Hannah. She is missing her 3 furry animals immensely. Let's come together to give her the best chance to grow, explore and thrive- because every child deserves a bright future.
Please share this campaign with your friends and family. Your support means the world to Callie and her family and reminds them they are not alone in this fight. I will continue to update on my Facebook page when appropriate.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and love. Let's help Callie spread her wings and fight this battle with all the strength she has!
With love and gratitude,
