We all have that pet we wished for at our birthdays when we were little, wrote Santa clause saying please please without really knowing what goes into owning a pet. I asked for Blu every birthday and Christmas and when I was 18 my mom and best friend got me a little puppy. For almost 10 years she’s been my little shadow, my best friend. She’s been by my side through so much, moved across the country and back, I’ve never felt alone as long as I’ve had her I am her world and she is mine. 6 months ago she got diagnosed with a tumor in her anal sac called an adenocarcinoma. We got lucky enough a specialist comes to my job and performed an anal sacculectomy where she got her giant tumor removed with the best margins my job has seen. This was a few weeks apart from her sisters splenectomy, another specialty surgery. While her sister Sweet Ps surgery was curative, Blu’s was just buying us more time(her type of cancer is aggresive). Her cancer is back and it’s spread to her lymphnodes. The amazing vets at The Center For Animal Wellness are helping lower her calcium that her tumor excretes in here body and is at a toxic level so we have a little bit more time before I have to say goodbye, or decide to try chemo if we can bring her calcium down. I’m still paying off both of her and her sisters surgeries, we could use some help so I can give her the best end of life care, or fighting chance.
