Giving back to the ALS Association (San Diego)
People have been asking me what I want for my birthday this year, and much to their dismay I haven't had a solid answer. Don't get me wrong, there are many things on my wishlist this year, but there's only one thing I can actually fathom asking for.
As many of you may know, my dad has been living with ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease) for the past year and a half. It's been a rollercoaster ride since the beginning, to say the least, but I won't bore you with the details. What I will say is this: the ALS Asociation (Greater San Diego Chapter) has made this ride so much smoother. They have been extremely helpful, guiding my family and me down this path, and doing it with a smile on their faces. The love and support they have shown us have been wonderful and I cannot imagine going through this process without them.
So for my birthday this year, I'd like to extend a thank you to the ALS Association, with your help. I'm asking you to embrace the spirit of giving during the upcoming holidays and give back to people that have truly helped my family-any many others-stay afloat.
